Tour: 1 Poultry

No. 1 Poultry is one of the City’s defining landmarks - a Grade II* listed building designed by James Stirling, Michael Wilford and Associates, it occupies one of London’s most prominent positions. Currently vacant and in need of modernisation, it is being remastered into a 152,000 sq ft low carbon headquarters building, including, c.7,000 sq ft of retail, and public and private roof gardens. The retrofit pairs one of London’s most infamous buildings with the performance modern occupiers expect.

The tour traces the building’s history, the complexity of its retrofit and M&E upgrade strategy, and the thinking shaping its next chapter - from all-electric operation, 80% reduction in energy consumption with BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A targets, to flexible floorplates, civic connections at ground level, and panoramic City views.

Please note: The tour cannot accommodate step free access. The scheme will be a construction site, however, will operate under a Green Route, without the requirement for PPE.
